⌄The SkimPro SP-HP is a replacement skimmer basket with a vented tower and built in handle. SkimPro calls it their most universal basket: it fits Hayward SP1070 series skimmers along with PacFab, Jacuzzi Deckmate, SwimQuip, Sta-Rite and American skimmers that use the flap weir.
Why the tower matters
A standard basket that fills with leaves chokes off flow to the pump. The SkimPro tower has vents above the debris line, so water keeps moving through the skimmer even when the basket is packed. That protects the pump motor from running starved and keeps circulation going, which helps hold off algae between cleanings.
Easier to empty
The tower also works as a handle. Lift the basket straight out from above instead of reaching down into the skimmer throat.
Dimensions
The basket measures 8-7/16 in. across and 6-1/8 in. tall. From the base to the top of the tower it is 12-15/16 in. Check those against your skimmer before ordering.
