The Pentair 516112Z is the genuine Bermuda skimmer basket with a handle, for the Pentair Bermuda gunite and vinyl liner skimmers. It is the OEM basket, so it drops into the skimmer throat the way the original did.
Why the handle matters
A basket without a handle has to be fished out by the rim, which is awkward when it is packed with wet leaves. The handle gives you something to grip, so a full basket comes out in one motion and goes back seated correctly.
Do not run a cracked basket
The skimmer basket is the first filter in the system. Once it splits, leaves and grit pass straight through to the pump strainer and then to the impeller, which is a much more expensive thing to clear. A basket that has gone brittle in the sun is due for replacement.
Check the size before you order
