Product details

The Pentair 190003 is the tank clamp kit for the Clean and Clear Plus cartridge filters, FNS Plus DE filters and Quad DE filters. The same tanks were sold under the PacFab and American Products names, and this kit fits those too. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What you get

The metal clamp band, a washer and the spring barrel nut assembly. The spring is the tension control: it keeps an even load on the band as you tighten, so the tank halves seal evenly and the clamp is not overtightened.

Fit and finish

The clamp measures roughly 23-1/4 in. long, 22-1/4 in. wide and 2-1/4 in. high. Pentair has changed the finish from the original to black; the fit and part number are the same, so do not be surprised if the new clamp does not match the colour of the one coming off.

When to replace

Replace the clamp if the band is corroded, bent or stretched, or if the barrel nut threads are damaged. A clamp that will not hold tension is a safety issue on a pressurised tank, so do not try to repair one.
