Which filters is this bottom for?
It is the bottom for the 50 square foot and 44 GPM sizes. The part is described for 44 GPM Warrior and 50 sq. ft. Clean and Clear filters, and it is also listed in the Predator cartridge filter and EasyClean above ground DE filter parts listings.
Is this the whole tank?
No. It is the bottom half of the tank only. The lid, clamp, internals and element are separate parts.
Can a cracked filter bottom be patched?
It should not be. The bottom is under system pressure every time the pump runs, and a patched crack is a failure waiting to happen. Replace it.
How do I make sure it is the right size?
Order by part number. Filter bottoms are specific to the tank size, so check 178562 against the parts listing for your filter rather than measuring by eye.
