Product details

Pentair part 190030Z is the 1-1/2 in. drain cap plug for Clean and Clear Plus cartridge filters, FNS Plus DE filters and Quad DE filters built after May 2005. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What it does

The drain plug sits at the bottom of the tank and comes out to empty the filter for a cartridge or grid clean, or to drain it for winter. A cracked or stripped plug drips constantly at the base of the tank, and the replacement is a straight swap.

Before you order

The o-ring is not included. It is Pentair part 191474 and is sold separately; a worn o-ring is the usual reason a drain plug weeps, so replace both together if the old one has been leaking. Confirm your filter was built after May 2005, since earlier tanks may take a different plug.

No. The o-ring is Pentair part 191474 and is sold separately. If the old plug was leaking, the o-ring is usually the cause, so it is worth replacing at the same time.
