Product details

The Pentair 192320 is the genuine upper bulkhead O-Ring for 2 inch bulkhead fittings on Pentair filters. It is a size 2-137 ring molded in 70 shore Buna N, with a 2-1/4 inch inside diameter and a 3/16 inch cross section.

Where it goes

Bulkhead fittings are the threaded ports where plumbing enters and leaves the filter tank. Each one seals against the tank with an O-Ring, and this is the upper of those seals. Pentair uses it across the Clean and Clear Plus cartridge filter, the FNS and FNS Plus filters, and the Nautilus Plus.

When to replace it

Rubber hardens with heat, chlorine and time. Once the ring takes a permanent set or splits, the fitting weeps whenever the pump is running, and no amount of tightening will stop it. Replacing the seal is a few minutes of work and it is worth lubricating the new ring with a silicone pool lube before assembly.
