The Pentair 86006900 is the bulkhead o-ring used in both the upper and the lower bulkhead positions. It is the genuine Pentair part.

When to change it
O-rings harden, flatten and take a set. Once one has, it will pass a slow weep no matter how carefully the fitting is tightened, and overtightening to chase the leak only cracks the plastic around it. Change the o-ring any time the bulkhead is disturbed, and lubricate the new one with a silicone based o-ring grease rather than anything petroleum based.
