Product Description
⌄Pentair part 178578 is the replacement tank bottom assembly for the Clean & Clear Plus cartridge filter and the Quad DE filter. It fits filters manufactured after 11-98 and is the genuine Pentair part, so it seals to the existing lid and clamp the way the original did.
When you need it
The lower tank takes the load of the plumbing and the pressure of the system. When it cracks, weeps at a port or has been damaged by a freeze, the rest of the filter is usually still good. Replacing the tank bottom keeps the lid, clamp, cartridges or grids and internals in service.
Before you order
Check the manufacture date on your tank label. This bottom is for filters built after November 1998. The tank o-ring and clamp kit are sold separately, and a new o-ring is the right call any time the tank is split and reassembled.
