Product details

Pentair 178731Z is the tank bottom assembly for the Clean & Clear RP filter, and Pentair lists the same part for its separation tanks. It is the genuine factory component.

What it replaces

The filter tank is two halves held together by a clamp band. This is the lower half, the one that carries the plumbing ports and holds the element. When it cracks, splits after a freeze or weeps from the shell rather than the band seal, there is no reliable repair. Replacing the bottom puts a sound tank back under the filter without touching anything else.

What is not included

The lid, the clamp band and the internal filter elements are separate parts. Inspect the clamp band O-ring while the filter is apart, since it is the other common source of a leak at the seam and it is easy to change with the tank already open.

No. This is the tank bottom assembly. The lid, clamp band and internal elements are separate parts and carry over from the filter you have.
My tank is leaking at the bottom, is this the fix?
If the leak is the tank shell itself rather than the clamp band O-ring, yes. A cracked or split tank bottom cannot be patched reliably and gets replaced.
