Product details

The Pentair 195999 is the genuine bottom tank assembly for the 100 sqft Quad DE cartridge filter and the Clean and Clear Plus pool and spa cartridge filter, in Pentair's standard almond colour.

Why the bottom tank

The lower tank carries the weight of the water and the stress of the drain fitting, so it is the part most likely to crack or seep. When it does, the top tank, clamp and cartridges are usually still sound. Replacing the bottom assembly on its own gets the filter back in service for a fraction of the cost of a new unit.

Fitting

Drain and open the filter, lift out the cartridges and internals, and transfer them to the new bottom tank. Inspect the tank o-ring while it is apart and refit the clamp to Pentair's torque before pressurising.

Which filters does it fit?
The Pentair Quad DE cartridge filter in the 100 sqft size and the Pentair Clean and Clear Plus pool and spa cartridge filter.
Is this the whole filter?
No. It is the bottom tank assembly only. Your existing top tank, clamp, internals and cartridges carry over.
What colour is it?
Almond, matching the standard Pentair tank finish.
Why replace just the bottom?
Bottom tanks crack or start weeping at the drain long before the rest of the filter is worn out. Replacing the bottom alone is far cheaper than a new filter.
