When to replace it

A lid that has cracked, chalked from sun exposure or been damaged during a cartridge change needs to be replaced rather than patched, since it carries system pressure. This assembly is the direct factory replacement, so it seats on the tank base and under the clamp exactly like the original.

Before you order

Confirm your filter is a Clean and Clear Plus 420 or a Quad DE 80. The tank o-ring and the clamp kit are not included; if the o-ring is flattened or the clamp is corroded, replace them at the same time so the new lid seals properly.
