Product details

The Pentair R38013AZ is the OEM skimmer basket for the S-10 Admiral, the American Products Admiral in-ground skimmer. It is a new genuine Pentair part.

What the basket does

Everything the skimmer pulls off the surface goes into this basket first. Leaves, bugs and grass collect here rather than in the pump strainer, which is the only reason the pump pot stays manageable through a leaf drop. When the basket is cracked or the handle has snapped, debris slips past the damage and ends up against the impeller.

Getting the right one

Skimmer baskets are not interchangeable across brands, so measure before ordering if you are unsure which skimmer is in the deck. This one is 8-5/16 in across the top, 7-3/16 in across the bottom and 7-3/4 in tall.

Fitting

Lift the deck lid, pull the old basket out and drop the new one in. There is nothing to unbolt and no plumbing to break into.
