Product details

The CMP FlowSkim basket handle attachment, part 25573-300-000, adds a 12 in. handle to a skimmer basket that did not come with one. It makes emptying the basket cleaner, faster and easier, because you lift and dump instead of reaching down into the skimmer.

The flow through design

The handle is more than a grab point. Water travels down the center of it, so when the basket packs solid with leaves the pump still gets water. That is the difference between a skimmer that chokes off and a pump that keeps its prime, and running dry is what wrecks pumps.

Fitment

The FlowSkim handle works with most skimmer baskets that stand at least about 5 in. tall. Measure your basket before ordering. The handle is sold on its own, to fit into a basket you already have.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Will it fit my skimmer basket?
It works with most skimmer baskets that are at least about 5 in. tall. Measure the height of your basket before ordering.
How long is the handle?
12 in.
What does the flow through part do?
When the basket fills completely with leaves, water can still travel down the center of the handle and on to the pump. That keeps the pump from losing its water and running dry, which is what damages it.
Do I get a basket with it?
No. This is the handle attachment on its own. It fits into a basket you already have.
