CMP PowerClean Ultra In-Line Chlorinator with Clear Glass Lid

The CMP PowerClean Ultra is an in-line tablet chlorinator for residential in-ground pools, and this version comes with the clear glass lid. It plumbs into the return line after the filter and heater and feeds chlorine at a rate you set on the dial. CMP rates it for pools from 5,000 to 50,000 gallons.

Why the glass lid matters

Plastic feeder lids cloud and fade after a season or two of sitting over concentrated chlorine. Glass does not, so the lid on this unit stays clear and you can see how many tablets are left without unscrewing it. The chamber holds twelve 3 in. tablets or about 5 lb of 1 in. tablets, which means fewer refills.

Built to be serviced

All of the piping is inside the body, so there is no external tubing to crack or drip. A 100 percent shut-off dial and a built-in flow indicator make it easy to dial the feed rate in, and a bottom drain plug empties the chamber for winterizing. Unions for both 1.5 in. and 2 in. pipe are included, so the feeder disconnects in a minute when it needs cleaning.
