Product details

The Hayward CL2002S is an in-line automatic chlorinator with 2 in. slip PVC connections. It is plumbed into the return line and feeds slow dissolving Trichlor or Bromine tablets into the water as the pump runs.

Built for the equipment pad

The body is durable ABS and the seal is a high quality Viton X-Ring, which gives long life and makes the cover easier to lift off when it is time to load tablets. The Easy-Lok threaded cover has a finger-release catch, so access is quick and the lid is secure once it is on. Tablet capacity is 9 lb, so the intervals between refills are long.

Setting the feed rate

A dial control valve sets how much water passes through the tablet chamber, which is what determines the feed rate. Set it to suit your pool and your test results rather than leaving it wide open, and adjust it through the season as demand changes.

In-line or off-line

In-line units like this one are cut into the return pipe, which suits new construction and any pad with room to work. Where there is no room to cut the main line, Hayward also builds off-line feeders that sit alongside the plumbing on a small loop.
