Off-line, not in-line
An off-line feeder is plumbed onto a small bypass loop beside the equipment line rather than sitting in the middle of the main run. Water is drawn through the feeder, picks up chlorine from the tablets and returns to the line, so the feeder is not carrying the full flow of the system.
Steady dosing
Loaded with tablets and set, the feeder releases sanitizer while the pump runs. That keeps a chlorine level in the water between visits, which is steadier than dosing by hand and easier to keep on top of through a hot week.
