How the metering works
Perform-Max feeders use the patented Performance Valve, which lets water erode only the bottom layer of the chemical stack. That is the difference from a soaker style feeder, where the whole load gets wet at once and output drifts as the tablets break down. Feeding one layer at a time keeps the residual steadier, and the valve responds predictably at every point across its range of settings.
Chemical and sizing
The feeder takes chlorine or bromine in pucks, tablets or sticks. Three models are offered across the range, holding from 7 to 10 pounds, and this one is the 10 pound version for the larger pools.
