Product details

This is the King Technology cap with o-ring, part 01-22-9417, for the 5400, 5430 and 5450 XL Pro and Mineral Hybrid in ground feeders. The cap and its o-ring are supplied together.

Why they are sold as a pair

The cap and the o-ring fail for the same reason and at roughly the same rate. Years of sun make the cap brittle at the threads while chemical exposure hardens the ring until it no longer seals. Replacing one and reusing the other tends to leave you back at the same leak, so the pair is the sensible repair.

Fitment

It covers the in ground feeders in the 5400, 5430 and 5450 range, both XL Pro and Mineral Hybrid. Above ground feeders take a different cap, so check which system is at your equipment pad before ordering.

No. This is the in ground feeder cap. Above ground systems use a different part.
My feeder weeps at the cap. Is this the fix?
