Product details

The Pentair R172086Z is the genuine 1/2 in. control valve for Rainbow automatic chlorine and bromine feeders. It fits models 320, 322 and 300-29X, and it is the same part that was previously numbered R172086.

What it does

The control valve regulates how much water flows through the feeder, which in turn sets how fast the tablets dissolve and how much chlorine or bromine goes to the pool. When the valve seizes, leaks at its threads or drifts off its setting, the feed rate becomes a guess. Swapping the valve puts the adjustment back under control.

Before you order

Confirm your feeder is a 320, 322 or 300-29X and that the connection is the 1/2 in. thread. The related tubing, compression nut and elbow are separate parts if you are rebuilding the whole feed line.
