The Pentair R172321 is the replacement feeder body for the Rainbow model 320 in-line automatic chemical feeder. It is the genuine Pentair part.
The part that actually fails
An in-line feeder holds tablets in a plastic vessel with sanitized water running through it. That is a hard life. The chlorine attacks from the inside, sunlight works on the outside, and after enough seasons the body crazes, goes brittle and starts to weep at the wall or around a fitting. There is no reliable repair for a cracked feeder body, so it is replaced.
What you get
The body alone. The threaded cap, the control valve and the internal components are each their own Pentair part number, so order those alongside if yours are past their best while the feeder is off the line.
