The Pentair R172317 is the diverter tee used in the plumbing around Rainbow chlorinator feeder models 320 and 322. The branch is 1-1/2 inch NPT.
How it works
A tab feeder does not sit in the main flow. The tee splits a share of the water off the line, pushes it through the feeder where it passes over the tablets, and the chlorinated water rejoins downstream. The tee is what makes that split possible, and a cracked or leaking one is a common reason a feeder starts weeping at the pad.
