Pentair R175009 is the 1/2 inch drain valve for the Rainbow chlorinator feeders, models HC-3315, HC-3330 and 3340. It is the genuine Pentair part.
What changed
These feeders originally shipped with a faucet style valve operated by a T handle. That older design has been discontinued and this valve is what took its place, so if you are looking at a T handle on your feeder and cannot find a match, this is the current part number to order.
Why it matters
The drain valve is the only clean way to get water out of the feeder before you open it up. When it seizes, weeps or snaps off, servicing the chlorinator turns into a mess, and replacing a small valve is far quicker than fighting a stuck one every season.
