Quick overview
- Genuine Hayward Factory part CLX110K, the cap and lid O-ring.
- Viton Made in Viton, which is the material chosen for chlorine exposure.
- CL100 and CL110 The lid seal for both Hayward chlorine feeder models.
- Stops the leak at the lid A hardened O-ring is the usual reason a feeder weeps around the cap.
- Replace it with the lid off The seal is a few dollars, so it goes on any time the feeder is opened for a refill.
- Keeps the cap turning A cracked or swollen seal is also what makes a feeder lid impossible to unscrew.

Product details
The Hayward CLX110K is the lid O-ring for the CL100 and CL110 chlorine feeders. It is the genuine Hayward part, made in Viton.
Why Viton
The inside of a chlorine feeder is one of the harshest places on a pool pad. Standard rubber hardens, cracks and swells there. Viton is chosen for that exposure, which is why the factory seal is made from it and why a generic O-ring from a drawer does not last in the same spot.
The symptoms
Two things point at the cap seal. A feeder weeping around the lid is the obvious one. The other is a lid that has become very hard to unscrew, which usually means the O-ring has swollen or bonded to the sealing face. Either way the seal is due.
Worth doing early
The lid comes off every time the feeder is refilled. Since the O-ring is a low cost part, changing it while the feeder is already open costs almost nothing in time and heads off the leak entirely.
