Product details

The Hayward CLX200CA is the cover and cap assembly for the CL200 chlorinator. It arrives complete: cover, cap, O-ring, and the cover screw with its washer.

Why the whole assembly

The lid on an inline chlorinator lives in the worst spot on the pad. It sits over concentrated chlorine, takes full sun, and gets opened and closed all season. The plastic crazes, the threads wear and the seal hardens, usually all at once. Replacing the assembly puts every one of those parts back to new rather than chasing one at a time.

Fitting notes

Keep the O-ring seated in its groove and clean the sealing face on the feeder body before closing the lid. A pinched or gritty seal is the most common reason a fresh cover still weeps.

Why does my chlorinator lid leak?

Chlorine and UV attack the plastic and the seal over time. Once the cover crazes or the O-ring hardens, the lid will not hold pressure, and a whole new assembly is the reliable answer.
