Product details

The Hayward CLX220G is the saddle fitting with gasket for Hayward off-line chemical feeders. It is the piece that clamps to the pipe and gives the feeder its tie in point.

How an off-line feeder connects

An off-line feeder does not sit in the main flow. It is plumbed to the side, drawing a small stream of water off the return line and putting it back once it has passed through the chemical. The saddle fitting is what makes that tap into the pipe, and the gasket is what keeps the joint dry.

When to replace it

A weep at the pipe under the feeder tubing means either the gasket has hardened and taken a set or the saddle body has cracked, often from being overtightened. Both are answered by this part, which comes as the saddle and gasket together.

What does the saddle fitting do?
