Product details

This is the Hayward CLX220EA, the check valve and inlet fitting adapter assembly for CL series chemical feeders. It is the genuine Hayward OEM part and it comes as one piece, valve and adapter together.

What it does

It sits on the inlet side of the chlorinator, where water enters the feeder body. The check valve is what holds flow to a single direction, so treated water cannot travel back the way it came. When the valve stops sealing, or the inlet adapter is cracked or weeping, this assembly is the fix.

Hayward lists CLX220EA for the CL220 chlorinator, and the part belongs to the chlorine feeder parts group that spans the CL200, CL220 and CL220BR. If your feeder is a CL200 or CL220BR, check it against your parts diagram first.

Which feeder is this for?
Hayward lists CLX220EA for the CL220 chlorinator. The part also appears in the shared chlorine feeder parts group that covers CL200, CL220 and CL220BR, so check your feeder parts diagram before ordering if you have a CL200 or CL220BR.
Is the check valve separate from the adapter?
No. It is sold as one assembly, the check valve together with the inlet fitting adapter.
