Hayward CLX220J is the genuine 8 ft replacement tubing for Hayward chlorine feeders, listed for the CL100, CL110, CL200, CL220 and CL220BR.
What it does
An off line chlorinator sits beside the plumbing rather than in it. Water is taken from the return line, passes through the feeder where it picks up chlorine, and goes back to the plumbing. This tubing is that path. Everything the feeder does depends on the tubing carrying flow reliably in both directions.
Why it wears out
The tubing carries the most concentrated chlorine anywhere in the system. It stiffens, discolors and eventually cracks, usually at the bends or right at a fitting. A split line leaks chlorinated water into the equipment pad and starves the feeder of flow at the same time.
Fitting it
You get eight feet, which is meant to be cut to the run your equipment pad needs. Trim it to length rather than leaving a coil of excess, and check the saddle fittings while you are there, since they are a separate part and age alongside the tubing.
