Product details

Hayward SP1500UNMPAK1 is the male union end connector pack for Hayward in line chlorine feeders. It supplies the three pieces that make up one union end: a 1-1/2 inch MPT nipple connector, a union nut and an O-ring.

Where it goes

Chlorine feeders are plumbed in line with unions so the unit can be taken out of the circuit for service without cutting pipe. This pack rebuilds that connection. It is listed for the CL200 and CL220 series, including the CL220BR, and the manufacturer summary also names the CL100.

Why unions fail

Feeders live in a harsh spot. The O-ring flattens and hardens from heat and chlorine, and the nut takes repeated tightening every time the feeder is opened for tablets. The joint then weeps in a slow drip that people chase around the pad for weeks. Replacing the whole union end, rather than just the seal, deals with all three failure points at once.

Ordering

One pack covers one union end. If both the inlet and the outlet unions are being rebuilt, order two.
