The Hayward CLX220H is the compression nut for the CL series chlorine feeders. It is the genuine Hayward part, the same one fitted at the factory.

Why it fails
A chlorinator lives in the most aggressive corner of the equipment pad. Plastic threaded parts on a feeder go brittle over the years, and a nut that has cracked or lost its thread will not pull the connection up tight no matter how hard you turn it. Replacing it is a few minutes of work.
