Product details

The Hayward CLX220H is the compression nut for the CL series chlorine feeders. It is the genuine Hayward part, the same one fitted at the factory.

Which feeder

Hayward describe this nut as the replacement for the CL200 and CL220 series chlorinators, and the CL220BR is grouped with them. It is also carried in the Hayward parts listings for the CL100 and CL110 feeders, so if you are working on one of those, check it against your parts diagram before ordering.

Why it fails

A chlorinator lives in the most aggressive corner of the equipment pad. Plastic threaded parts on a feeder go brittle over the years, and a nut that has cracked or lost its thread will not pull the connection up tight no matter how hard you turn it. Replacing it is a few minutes of work.

While you are in there

The cover o-ring and the cover and cap assembly are the other CL series parts that wear at about the same rate. Hayward sell them separately.
