Stenner Pumps Suction and Discharge Tubing, 1/4 in x 100 ft, White, AK4010W

Stenner AK4010W is a 100 ft roll of white 1/4 inch tubing for the suction and discharge lines on Stenner chemical feed pumps, covering the 45, 85, 100 and 170 Series adjustable and fixed pumps along with the SVP and BDF Series.

Suction and discharge, not the pump tube

It is worth being clear about which tube this is. A peristaltic pump has a flexible tube inside the head that the rollers squeeze, and that is a separate wear item on its own schedule. This roll is the line that carries chemical from the drum to the pump and from the pump to the injection point. It does not get squeezed, but it does age, harden and eventually crack from constant chemical contact.

Why white helps

Chemical feed lines fail quietly. A white line lets you see crystallized chemical building up inside, an air lock sitting in a high spot, or discoloration where the tubing is starting to break down, all of which are invisible in an opaque line. On a system you check monthly rather than daily, that visibility is what catches a problem before the pool stops getting dosed.

Running the line

Keep runs as short and direct as practical and avoid sharp bends that can kink or restrict flow. A 100 ft roll normally leaves enough over after the initial install to redo a line during a future service call.
