The Stenner 85MJL5A3STAA is the Classic Series 85M5 single head adjustable peristaltic pump, feeding about 4.3 to 85 gallons per day against up to 25 psi on 120V 60Hz power, with 3/8 in. suction and discharge tubing.

How output is set

Output depends on the motor speed, the pump tube and the feed rate control. This model runs the #5 tube, and the external dial ring sets output from 5 to 100 percent in 2.5 percent increments, roughly a 20:1 turndown. Stenner rates reproducibility within 2 percent and recommends calibrating any metering pump in the field.

Where it is used

Single head adjustable Classic pumps sanitize commercial pool water and treat problem water, dosing for pH control or oxidizing iron, manganese and hydrogen sulfide so a filter can remove them. The pump self primes with up to 25 ft of vertical suction lift, holds its prime with off-gassing solutions and can run dry. Check the wetted materials against the Stenner chemical resistance guide for the solution you plan to pump.

Service and installation

The QuickPro pump head allows tube changes without tools, and tubes and pump heads interchange between Classic models. The pump draws 1.7 A through a NEMA 5-15P plug, and the box includes a 20 ft roll of 3/8 in. white tubing, an injection fitting, a weighted suction line strainer, connecting nuts, a spare pump tube, two spare latches and a mounting bracket.
