Product details

The Pentair Rainbow HC-3315 is a high capacity off-line tablet feeder for large residential and commercial pools. It holds 15 pounds of slow dissolve trichlor or bromine tablets and treats up to 97,600 gallons with trichlor or 20,200 gallons with bromine, which puts it well beyond what a standard residential feeder can keep up with.

How it installs

The feeder is designed for off-line plumbing: it hangs on its own 1 in. PVC bypass tapped off the return line, so the main line keeps full flow and the feeder can be isolated when you need to open it. The system is completely enclosed and needs no special venting. The body is 23-1/2 in. long and 7-3/4 in. square in section, which fits most equipment pads.

Part of the Rainbow line

Rainbow high capacity feeders come in three sizes to match different pool volumes. The HC-3315 is the 15 lb model, sold under Pentair part number R171215.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

How large a pool can the HC-3315 handle?
Up to 97,600 gallons when feeding trichlor tablets, or up to 20,200 gallons when feeding bromine tablets.
What does off-line mean?
The feeder sits on its own bypass loop plumbed in 1 in. PVC, tapped off the main return line, instead of being installed in the main line itself. That keeps full flow through the equipment pad and lets you isolate the feeder for service.
Does it need a vent?
No. The HC-3315 is a completely enclosed system and needs no special venting.
How big is it?
The body measures 23-1/2 in. long, 7-3/4 in. high and 7-3/4 in. wide, and holds 15 pounds of tablets.
