Product details

The CMP PowerClean Ultra is an off-line tablet chlorinator for residential in ground pools, and this model is the version fitted with the clear glass lid. Part number 25280-300-000.

Why the glass lid

Chlorinator lids live in constant contact with tablet vapor. A plastic lid clouds and fades until you cannot see the tablet level any more. The glass lid on this model does not, so the feeder stays easy to check and easy to service.

Capacity and plumbing

It treats pools from 5,000 to 50,000 gallons and holds twelve 3 in tablets or 5 lb of 1 in tablets. The plumbing size is 2 in, and unions are supplied in both 1.5 in and 2 in for a quick disconnect. All of the piping runs inside the unit, which removes the outside joints that leak on other designs.

Setting the feed rate

A built in flow indicator shows what the feeder is doing while you turn the dial, and the dial closes to a full 100 percent shut off when you want to stop feeding entirely. A bottom drain plug lets you empty the body for service or winterizing.

Installing off-line

Off-line means it mounts alongside existing equipment rather than replacing a section of the return line. The base, two mounting brackets and the tubing come with it, along with 3/4 in fittings if you would rather hard plumb the connections.
