CMP Hydro Seal Black CPVC Check Valve 2 in. S x 2.5 in. SPGT 25830-400-000

The CMP 25830-400-000 is a Hydro Seal check valve in black CPVC with a 2 in. socket on one end and a 2.5 in. spigot on the other. It carries a 2 lb spring, is rated to 50 psi, and is NSF certified. It is a serviceable valve, so the internals can be reached without cutting it out of the line.

Where it goes

A check valve keeps water from running backward when the pump shuts off. On a pool pad that means holding prime on a suction line, keeping a heater or chlorinator from draining back, or isolating a solar loop. The dual size body fits directly into 2 in. pipe or a 2.5 in. fitting, which covers most residential equipment pads.

Built for pool water

The body is CPVC and corrosion resistant, in black. The 2 lb spring closes the valve as flow stops without adding much restriction while the pump is running. Because the valve is serviceable, a worn flapper or spring is a quick fix in place rather than a replumb.
