The Hayward SP0729 is a 1-1/2 in. two-way ball valve from the Econoline range, with an ABS body. It is a straight shutoff for pool plumbing.
What it is for
A ball valve on each side of the pump and filter turns a wet job into a dry one. Close the valves, open the equipment, and the rest of the system stays full. Without them, any service means draining lines and priming again afterward.
Two-way, not a diverter
This valve controls one line, open or closed, with a quarter turn of the handle. If you need to send flow between two ports, that is a diverter valve and a different part.
