The Pentair 263029 is a two port PVC diverter valve for 2 in. to 2-1/2 in. pool plumbing. It is the genuine Pentair part.
What a two port valve does
With two ports the valve controls one line: open it, close it, or set it partway to throttle flow. That makes it the valve of choice for isolating a heater, shutting a return line, or balancing suction between drains and skimmer. A three port valve, by contrast, splits flow between two lines, and Pentair sells that version separately in the same size.
On the pad
The body accepts 2 in. or 2-1/2 in. PVC, which covers most residential and light commercial plumbing. Dry fit before cementing so the handle ends up somewhere you can actually reach.
