Product details

The SuperPro 25802-150-000 is a 1-1/2 inch PVC ball valve with a union, slip on both ends. It gives a run of pool plumbing a proper shutoff point and a place to take it apart.

Why the union earns its place

A plain valve stops the water. A union valve stops the water and then separates, so a pump, filter or heater can come out with a couple of turns instead of a saw. Anyone who has cut and reglued plumbing to get at a piece of equipment understands what that is worth the second time around.

Fitting it

Both ends are slip sockets, so the valve solvent welds directly to 1-1/2 inch PVC pipe. Fit one on each side of the equipment you expect to service and the line can be isolated and opened without draining the system.

What does slip x slip mean?
Both ends are smooth sockets that solvent weld onto 1-1/2 inch PVC pipe. There are no threads on either side.
