Product details

Pentair 263038 is a two port PVC diverter valve sized for 1-1/2 inch and 2 inch plumbing. As a two way valve it controls a single line, opening, closing or partly throttling it.

Where it goes

Two port diverters are the workhorses of an equipment pad. They isolate a heater, shut off a spa return, or throttle a line so flow splits the way it should between the pool and the spa. Because the valve takes both 1-1/2 inch and 2 inch pipe, one part number covers most of the runs on a residential pad.

Sizing up

If the plumbing on your pad is heavier than this, Pentair lists the same design in larger sizes, including a two port and a three port valve in 2 inch by 2-1/2 inch. Match the valve to the pipe you actually have rather than to the pump, and check whether the line needs two ports or three before you order.
