Pentair 475002 is the 3 inch PVC direct air intake duct kit for the Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm heater.
What it changes
A gas heater burns air as well as gas. Left alone it takes that air from wherever it is standing, which is fine in the open and a problem in a room, a shed or a tight equipment enclosure. A direct air intake kit ducts the combustion air to the heater instead, so the heater is not competing with the space around it.
