This is the genuine insulation kit, part number 77707-0008, for the burner system on the Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm and the Pentair MasterTemp pool heaters.

What comes with it

The kit is more than the insulation itself. It includes the clamp assembly, an o-ring and a silicone tube, which are the pieces needed to seal the burner assembly back up properly once it has been opened.

Why it gets replaced

Insulation in a burner system lives through constant heat cycling. Over enough seasons it chars, crumbles and stops sealing, and heat starts finding its way into places that were never meant to see it.
