Product details

The Pentair 154712 is the drain cap for a family of top mount sand filters sold under three names: the Sta-Rite Cristal-Flo II, the Pentair Sand Dollar, and the American Products Eclipse and Meteor. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What it does

The cap closes the drain port at the bottom of the tank. With it in place the filter holds pressure; with it off, the tank empties. That makes it the part you handle at every winterizing and every sand change, and the one most likely to be cracked or misplaced by the time spring comes around.
