Pentair 154698 is the sand drain spigot for select Pentair PacFab Tagelus sand filters. It is the genuine OEM fitting, molded in plastic with 3/4 inch NPT threads.
What it does
The spigot is the drain at the bottom of the filter tank. It is what you open to let water out before you break the tank down for a sand change or before a freeze. Because it lives at the lowest point of the tank and gets opened and closed by hand, it is one of the first pieces on a sand filter to crack or start weeping.

Part 154698 is called out for select PacFab Tagelus filters, and it also shows up in the Pentair Triton II and Sand Dollar sand filter parts listings. Match the part number against your own filter breakdown before ordering. When you fit it, use a thread sealant rated for plastic; a drain fitting run in dry is the usual cause of a slow drip under the tank.
