Product details

The Pentair 154416 is the internal spacer used in the 2 inch bulkhead on Triton II commercial side mount sand filters. It is the genuine Pentair part, molded in plastic.

Where it sits

The bulkhead is where the plumbing passes through the filter tank wall, and it is a stack of parts rather than a single fitting. The internal spacer holds the correct standoff inside that stack so everything clamps up square. Get the spacing wrong, or leave the spacer out, and the seal loads unevenly and the bulkhead seeps at exactly the point that is hardest to reach.

Pentair lists this part for the Triton II commercial side mount sand filters, models TR100C and TR140C. Confirm your bulkhead is the 2 inch size before ordering.

While you are in there

The 2 inch bulkhead o-ring and the 2 inch bulkhead gasket are separate part numbers. Both are cheap, both are the usual source of a bulkhead leak, and neither seals as well the second time around, so plan on renewing them with the spacer.

Should I replace the seals at the same time?
It is worth it. The 2 inch bulkhead o-ring and the 2 inch bulkhead gasket are separate parts, and once the bulkhead is apart they are the parts most likely to leak if reused.
Is there a complete bulkhead kit?
Yes. Pentair also sells a 2 inch Triton II bulkhead kit if more than the spacer needs replacing.
