Pentair Lateral for Triton II TR40, TR50, TR60, Genuine OEM

The Pentair 152290 is a replacement lateral for Triton II TR40, TR50 and TR60 sand filters. Laterals are the slotted plastic fingers at the bottom of the tank that let clean water out while holding the sand back. When one cracks, sand shows up in the pool and it is time to open the tank.

This lateral is 6-11/16 in. long and each filter uses eight of them. They are sold individually, so order the quantity you need. Since all eight have seen the same years of service, replacing the full set while the sand is out is usually the sensible move.

The laterals thread into the hub assembly, which is a separate part and only needs replacing if it is damaged. Reaching them means emptying the sand from the tank, so plan the job around a sand change.
