Pentair Genuine OEM 2 in. Triton II Bulkhead Kit

The Pentair 154714Z is the genuine internal bulkhead assembly for the Triton II side mount sand filter. It is the fitting that passes through the tank wall and gives the multiport valve its 2 in. connection, so when it cracks or the seal gives up, water weeps at the side of the tank and no amount of tightening the valve union fixes it.

Fits

Triton II models TR50, TR60, TR100 and TR140, and select Purex filters that used the same tank. You may see the part listed as 154714 without the Z; it is the same kit under Pentair's current number.

Installing it

Drain the tank below the port, remove the valve and back the old bulkhead nut off with a 2 in. bulkhead wrench. Seat the new assembly, tighten the nut evenly with the same wrench, then reconnect the valve. Pulling it with the wrench rather than pliers keeps the load square on the fiberglass tank.
