Pentair 154687Z is the complete air bleeder fitting package for Triton II and System 3 filters. It is the genuine Pentair part, supplied with the brass fitting.

What you get

Five pieces make up the package: the 154689 air bleeder and tee assembly, the 154700 adapter, the 154661 o-ring, the 154664 nut and the 154418 washer. Buying the complete package rather than chasing the individual numbers is usually the faster route when the old fitting has corroded into one piece.

Fitment

Pentair lists it for the Triton II pool and spa filter models TR50, TR60, TR140 and TR100, and for the System 3 SM, SD and SMD series models S7M120, S7M400, S8M150, S8M500, S7D75 and S8D110.

The air relief is the fitting you open on top of the filter to purge trapped air after cleaning a basket, opening the filter, or starting the system back up. Air that stays in the tank shows up as a high or unstable pressure reading and poor flow, so the relief needs to open and seal reliably rather than weep.
