Pentair Genuine OEM Manual Air Relief Assembly for Triton II

The Pentair 273564Z is the genuine manual air relief assembly that sits on top of a Triton II sand filter. It is sold as a complete unit: the manifold that screws into the top of the tank, its sealing o-ring, the pressure gauge and the manual air relief valve.

Why replace the whole assembly

By the time the bleeder valve seizes or the manifold cracks, the gauge on the same body is usually stuck or unreadable too. Replacing the assembly puts a fresh gauge, valve and seal on the filter in one step, without hunting down each part and hoping the old threads are sound.

Using it

After a backwash, cartridge clean or any time the pump has been off, open the manual relief valve while the pump runs until water sprays from it, then close it. That purges air from the top of the tank so the filter runs full and the gauge gives a reliable clean pressure reading to compare against later.
