The Pentair 150041 is the air relief tube for Triton II TR100 side mount sand filters built after November 1999. It is the genuine Pentair part, molded in plastic like the original.
What it does
Air collects at the top of a sand filter tank every time the system is opened or the water level drops. The relief tube is the passage that carries that air up to the relief assembly so it can be bled off. A cracked or missing tube means the tank never fully purges, and the filter runs on a pocket of air instead of water.
Check the date first
Pentair revised this hardware in 11/99. This is the later version, so confirm the build date on your tank before ordering. Pentair also lists the same tube for the commercial Triton side mount filters TR100C and TR140C.
