Sta-Rite Parts

325 products

Parts for Sta-Rite equipment: pumps, filters, heaters, cleaners, valves and skimmers, with the machine each part fits named on the part itself rather than left to a chart. Two things make this line confusing and both are worth knowing before you order. Sta-Rite is a Pentair brand and the line came through Swimquip before that, so one part can carry three brand names and three numbers. And some Sta-Rite assemblies are shared with Pentair machines outright.

About Sta-Rite Parts

Impellers, diffusers, seals, o-rings, clamp assemblies, tank lids, cartridges, grids, burner and coil parts, spread across the families Sta-Rite actually sold: System 3 and System 2 Modular Media filters, Max-E-Therm heaters, Max-E-Glas, Dura-Glas, Dyna-Glas and Max-E-Pro pumps, Posi-Flo and Cristal-Flo filters, SuperMax, and the Great White cleaner.

Nearly every product here carries its own specification, and most name the machine they fit rather than only a number. Whole Sta-Rite pumps and filters live with the rest of the equipment, in pool pumps and pool filters.

Questions about Sta-Rite Parts

Why does one part have three different numbers?

Because the line changed hands twice. Sta-Rite bought Swimquip, Pentair bought Sta-Rite, and each owner renumbered some of the catalogue without redesigning the part, so a single impeller or collar can legitimately appear as a Swimquip number, a Sta-Rite number and a Pentair number. Our specifications carry the alternatives where a maker publishes them, under a replaces line. If the number stamped on the part in your hand finds nothing, search the machine it came out of instead and work down from there.

Will a Pentair part fit my Sta-Rite?

Sometimes, and only where the product says so. The two brands share real hardware in places: our own rows describe one burner system as fitting both the Max-E-Therm and the Pentair MasterTemp, which are close relatives. But sharing a parent company does not make two machines compatible, and plenty of Pentair parts will not go near a Sta-Rite. The fits line on the product is the answer, and where it names both brands it means both.

How do I find the part without a number?

Work from the machine. Almost every part on this page names what it fits, so the label on the pump or the heater is a better starting point than a worn number on the part itself: a filter will say System 3 and a model like S7M120, a heater will say Max-E-Therm and SR-200, SR-333 or SR-400, a pump will say Max-E-Glas, Dura-Glas, Dyna-Glas or Max-E-Pro. Find that plate, then filter this page by brand and read the fits lines.

Do I need the o-ring or the whole assembly?

Start with the seal and work up. Most leaks on an older Sta-Rite are a flattened o-ring or a perished lid seal, and those are cheap and quick. Move up to an assembly when the part the seal sits against is what has failed: a cracked diffuser, a chewed impeller, a clamp whose band has rusted through. The sign you have gone past a seal is that a new one does not hold, or that you can see daylight or a split rather than a compressed groove.
