The Sta-Rite 42001-0051S is the combination gas control valve assembly for the Pentair MasterTemp and the Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm SR200, SR333 and SR400 pool heaters. It is part of the burner system, where it regulates gas to the burner and shuts it off when the control board calls for it.

MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm share the same burner design, so one part number covers both. It is sold as a complete assembly, the genuine part rather than a generic valve.

Because this is a gas component, it should be fitted by a qualified technician and every connection leak checked before the heater is put back into service. Confirm 42001-0051S against your existing valve or your heater parts list before ordering.
